KU SEEDS ~ an ecology club

Thursday, February 13, 2020

Are you interested in ecology? Do you want to learn more about animals, plants, and the environment? Explore natural places in Lawrence and surrounding areas? Come check out KU SEEDS, an ecology club! SEEDS (Strategies for Ecological Education, Diversity, and Sustainability) is an educational program of the Ecological Society of America, with chapters all across the country.

At the KU chapter, we aim to deepen our understanding of the field of ecology through educational club outings, guest lectures from faculty members and graduate students, and even club research projects. SEEDS also strives to increase diversity within the field of ecology and provide opportunities to people of underrepresented identities; our club is open to everyone.

We meet every other Tuesday at 5:30pm in the Kansas Union. Our next meeting is on February 18th in the Divine Nine Room. Come explore the field of ecology with us! If you have any questions, please reach out to us at seeds.ku@gmail.com.
