National data show students who complete internships have advantages in the job search process. They are more likely to receive a job offer than students who do not complete internships. Many employers offer full-time positions to students who excelled in their internships. In addition to the workforce advantages, internships provide students an opportunity to gain skills and experience and build networks while exploring potential career pathways.
The Internship Fair is October 29th from 12p-4p. A variety of employers from across the Midwest are filling internship positions for spring and summer. Students can check out the employer list and set-up their profiles on our virtual career platform, Career Fair Plus. Now, students are also able to schedule individual 10-minute conversations with employers. Students can learn more about the event here.
As always, our career coaches are available for individual appointments to help students find internships, prepare their resumes and cover letters, and practice their interview skills. They can schedule an appointment through HireJayhawks.com or by calling 785.864.3624.
